Tuxedo - Goober - Large - Adult - Male - Cat
When Goober came in to us he had a huge wound on his arm from a collar that was stuck around one side of his neck and down under the armpit. It was so tight that the collar wore through the skin into the tissue underneath. and was so long it went at least one third of the way around the area. Usually these types of wounds don't heal well without special type of surgery, sometimes many surgeries, so we consider putting him down. But we decided to give it time, kept him in a short cage so he would not extend the leg and over several weeks/months his arm healed almost closed. The final bit was sutured when he was neutered. Now the only problem he has it that he does not like the other cats, so he has to stay in a cage most of the time- so he does not fight with them. So he would really like to be adopted and have more space. If not soon, he may have to be released back where he came from, to live on the street. He is being fostered so that he does not have to be in a cage and he turns out to be a very friendly cat that loves attention and loves being up in whatever you are doing to see whats going on. He doesn't get along with other animals however, more of a one-person cat. 845-446-5300
